CEFTRIAXONE WITH VANCOMYCIN

INDICATIONS :

It is indicated in the following infections due to susceptible organisms.
Pneumonia (Ventilated Asociated Pneumonia, Hospital acquired Pneumonia, Bacterial Meningitis, Bacterial Endocarditis, Septicemia, Infections in immunocompromised patients.


DOSAGE :

Adjustment in Renal Impairment : Ceftiraxone is excreted via both biliary and renal excretion.
Therefore, patients with renal failure normally require no adjustment in dosage whin usual doses of ceftriaxone are administered.
Dosage adjustment with vancomycin must be made in patients with impaired renal function. There are no dosage reduction studies for the combination in renal impairment.
